Shoppers and staff watched on in horror as two men brawled in the aisles of the Sainsbury’s superstore in Hayes .

The punch-up happened at the store in Lombardy Retail Estate in Coldharbour Lane at around 8.20pm on Monday (November 13).

It left one man, thought to be in his 20s, with a serious and bloody eye injury.

Police are investigating and say no arrests have been made.

MirrorOnline report that the video footage capturing the violence was uploaded onto YouTube by a user claiming to be "Traveller and gypsy videos gypsy". It is not clear what the argument was about.

The footage begins with a man running with his mobile phone in his hand to the front of the store and in through the doors where the fight is clearly well underway.

The two men look like they are in the boxing ring as they swing punches at each other to the consternation of staff screaming at them to stop.

Punches are rapidly and violently exchanged before the man behind the camera appears to encourage one of the men to continue.

Undaunted, they carry on the fight, taking it further inside the store past the aisles - almost knocking over a display.

One of the men ends up covered in blood and with significant injuries to his face as a result of the scrap.

Irish accents can be heard throughout the duration of the clip, the Daily Record reports .

A member of Sainsbury’s staff and a security guard attempt to intervene as the fight escalates - before they are told to “stand back” by the person filming the footage.

A female worker is then seen to scream at the duo to “get out!” as horrified shoppers look on.

As the battle eventually slows to a halt, footage captures the sight of one of the fighters’ faces badly bloodied.

The video ends with shoppers and staff demanding the pair - and bystanders filming the incident - leave the store.
