It may feel like very little can brighten your mood on a grey November Monday but Sadiq Khan may just have the answer.
The Mayor of London announced an adorable new arrival to the family on Sunday (November 26) in a chocolate-boxy tweet.
Twitter went into meltdown over Luna Khan, a perfect golden bundle of joy who gives the Andrex puppy a run for its money.
A photo of Khan cradling the golden labrador pup as lovingly as if it were his own newborn has received more than 20,000 likes on Twitter and been retweeted 1,373 times.
Khan tweeted: "Saadiya and I are very excited to announce a new addition to the family... ...meet Luna Khan!"
Twitter users swooned over the picture.
Alice Taylor wrote: "Cutest mayor ever, and the puppy ain't bad either!"
After last week's dog-themed challenge on The Apprentice, contestant Anisa Topan, commented: "AWWWW! If you need any help pooper scooping or taking photos I am your lady!"
Other users tweeted the Mayor with pictures of their own pooches, also named Luna.
And some urged Khan to initiate a UK Dogs for Labour campaign.
