A man has been arrested by police following a serious stabbing incident in West End Road, Ruislip.

Police were called to the scene of the stabbing at around 6.45pm on Friday (October 13) where a man, believed to be in his 20s, was found near the junction with Masson Avenue.

The victim was rushed to a central London hospital in a critical condition by London Air Ambulance but his injuries have now been described as non life-threatening.

A 47-year-old man was arrested by police on Saturday (October 14) on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and driving whilst disqualified.

He was taken to a west London police station but has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
