Would you put a man who can transform into an enormous green rage monster and a living god who can call down the very lightning in a room made mostly of glass?

The Incredible Hulk (AKA actor Mark Ruffalo) and Thor (AKA actor Chris Hemsworth) joined Robert Downey Junior for a spot of lunch at the famous glasshouse restaurant of Petersham Nurseries at the weekend.

The Hollywood A-lister, who plays Iron Man, posted a picture on his Twitter feed of himself and his fellow Marvel colleagues enjoying a meal at the venue in Petersham Road, Richmond on Sunday.

Captioning it ‘Sunday Afternoon in Richmond’ the photo gave fans the chance to spot other heroes including Scarlett Johansson (who plays Black Widow) and Samuel L Jackson (who plays S.H.I.E.L.D director Nick Fury).

Also present was writer and director Joss Whedon who was responsible for the 2012 hit Avengers Assemble in which all the dinner companions starred together.

The cast have reunited to film the sequel Age of Ulton at nearby Shepperton Studios and were obviously taking time out from saving the world.

Mr Downey Junior, who only joined Twitter a few weeks ago, later tweeted to apologise to Mark Ruffalo for cutting him out of the frame.

It’s just as well he did, after all, he wouldn’t like him when he’s angry!
