Detectives have commended the victim's bravery

Thieves on a scooter dragged a woman along a road when trying to steal a suitcase from her in Hounslow , dislocating her shoulder.

Police are searching for the two scooter-enabled robbers following the incident on Thursday (August 31).

At around 3.20pm, the woman in her 20s was sat in her car, which was parked on Stamford Brook Avenue.

The two suspects, who were on a moped, drove towards the victim's vehicle, opened the front passenger door and grabbed hold of her suitcase, which contained professional photography equipment.

As the victim held on to her suitcase, the suspect punched her hand, causing her to release the bag, and the men got back on the moped.

The woman left her vehicle and grabbed hold of the suitcase again, but the moped was driven off and she was dragged along the road for 20 metres before she let go.

As a result of the incident, the woman required treatment in hospital and sustained a dislocated shoulder as well as a bruised hand.

She is now recovering in hospital.

These two suspects are being searched for by Met Police detectives

Trainee detective constable Rabeneck from Met Police's Hounslow CID spoke of the woman's bravery after the incident, which occurred near the Shell Petrol Station on Stamford Brook Avenue.

“The victim bravely fought for her suitcase but suffered serious injury as the two suspects, who wore dark clothing, made off and dragged her along the road.

“I hope the release of the image of them will help identify them”.

After the woman was dragged along the road, the suspects drove off towards Stanford Brook Road.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
