Police in Ealing have launched an appeal for information following a robbery outside HSBC Bank in Ealing Broadway.

Officers were called to the scene at around 12.15pm on Tuesday (July 4) to reports of a robbery from a cash in transit van.

According to police, a member of staff was approached by a male suspect as he was carrying a box of cash to the van.

Police say the victim was not seriously injured

Police say the suspect punched him before making off with the cash box on the back of a moped which was driven away by another male in the direction of Spring Bridge Road.

The victim was not seriously injured as a result of the incident.

No weapons were seen during the incident, no arrests have been made and enquiries continue.

Ealing Police are searching for two suspects who were wearing helmets, but are believed to be black or Asian.
