RideLondon 2017: Pedestrian dies a month after collision with cyclist in Parsons Green

Police want to hear from anyone who may have footage of the crash in Parsons Green

A pedestrian who was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after a collision with a cyclist during RideLondon has died .

The 67-year-old was taken to a west London hospital on Sunday July 30 following the crash at the Prudential RideLondon event , but died a month later on August 31.

Metropolitan Police officers were called at just after 12pm to New King's Road and Guion Road in Parsons Green.

London Ambulance Service were also called to the crash, which left a male cyclist in his 60s needing hospital treatment.

He was taken to a west London hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and was subsequently discharged.

The pedestrian died in hospital on Thursday August 31. Her next of kin have been informed and a post mortem will be held in due course.

Officers are appealing for any information and witnesses to come forward to help with their investigation.

Detective Sergeant Alastair Middleton, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "In light of the sad news that the pedestrian in this collision has passed away, it is important that we understand more about the circumstances surrounding the collision from either members of the public or those working as part of the event.

"Please call into the incident room if you have information, footage or images that could benefit our investigation."

Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the incident.
