A £10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the conviction of a "cat killer" who left a feline with its tail cut off in Feltham .

South Norwood Animal Rescue and Liberty (SNARL) said the injuries of the black cat were consistent with other injuries found in a spate of feline killings in England last year.

SNARL said around 180 bodies, including 12 foxes, were killed as of December 7 last year but a new poster suggests there have been more since then.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and Outpaced are offering £5,000 each for information on the person responsible for killing and mutilating the cats and foxes, leading to an arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

A volunteer for the charities, who asked to remain anonymous, has compiled a poster showing the dates the "cat killer" has allegedly committed the acts, and pleaded for information.

She said: "The distress they are causing to hundreds of families is barbaric.

"It is gross. We need to raise more awareness.

"Anyone acting suspiciously around cats, please ring."
