A UKIP chairman who suggested on Twitter that London was being 'ethnically cleansed' of white people said the backlash proved 'freedom of speech was dead'. Jeremy Zeid from the party's Harrow branch denied being racist and later closed his Twitter account, saying: "It is too much a pain in the arse."
