New data has shown that over 39% of Londoners will be doing their Christmas shopping online this year, but will you be braving the shops?
The new study, conducted by online marketing agency me:ta , saw London shoppers praise the opportunity to shop in store, while the convenience of e-commerce sites is making online shopping an increasingly popular option.
The study found that in-store shopping comes in at a close second with Londoner's forking out the cash for Christmas face to face at 32.5%.
It seems that Christmas shopping is also likely to just be dumped onto your partner, with 21.4% admitting they will be delegating their shopping duties to their significant other.
Just 20% of men surveyed said they intend on shopping in-store this Christmas, while a third of men said they will outsource their Christmas shopping to their other half.
More than double the amount of London's women at 43% said they will shop in store for their presents.
TV shopping is on the decline, with only 2.6% saying they'll sort out their Crimbo shopping on the box.
Catalogue shopping also seems to be on the way out, with 1.9% of Londoners saying they will be supporting shopping mags this festive season, while 1.9% said they will shop via phone.
The most surprising news from the survey shows that London is full of silver surfers, with a whopping 42.9% of over-65s heading onto the digital landscape for their Christmas shop.
The reason for Londoner's choosing to do their shop online looks to be because of pricing, with 17% saying that they choose to Google their Christmas ideas in order to get the best value.
