Post Office services will be available seven days a week in Fulham when its branch reopens following refurbishment.
The Fulham Road branch will operate from 9.30am-5pm on Monday to Saturdays, with selected Post Office products and services also available from the retail counter during shop opening hours (Monday to Saturday 6.30am-9.30pm, Sun: 8.30am-9pm).
It will result in the newly modernised main branch’s opening hours more than doubling by to hours a week, allowing customers to use the service earlier in the morning, later in the evening and during the weekend.
The new-look branch will benefit from four counter positions, two new style open-plan counters, one secure fortress position and a Post Office serving point at the retail till.
As part of the refurbishment the branch will close on January 4 until it reopens at 1pm on January 13.
Post Office area manager Keith Long said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.
“We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.
“This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future. The investment marks a commitment to no more branch closures programme. ”
