A real baby Jesus was one of the stars of the annual Nativity show put on by author Lotte Moore.

It was held at Nazareth House care home in Hammersmith, and was the 79-year-old’s 35th nativity play for the old people at the home.

Among the highlights was a well-behaved Billy Murray, making his theatrical bow at the age of six months old and playing the role of the infant Jesus.

The home is run by Sisters of Nazareth, and Lotte said: “Being nearly 80 myself I felt grateful not being in a wheelchair myself.

“The children keep me young and happy: the two to eight-year-olds sang their hearts out with carols and baby Jesus gurgled happily.”

Earlier this year she published her first novel, titled In the Fast Lane.
