Audiences were treated to a night of the '60s with Queensmead School’s Hairspray performance.
Performing on Tuesday (July 7) and Wednesday (July 8), students with a penchant for drama entertained a fully packed audience on both nights.
The director of the school musical, Claire Rowthorn, said: “The students who took part in Hairspray were an absolute credit to the school.
“It takes an awful lot of focus and commitment to put together a show of such high quality and the students involved were a pleasure to work with.”
The classic 2002 Broadway hit detailed the story of 1960s Baltimore teen, Tracy Turnbland.
A musical like no other, Hairspray gets audiences feet tapping away with memorable songs such as Welcome to the '60s and Big, Blonde and Beautiful.
David Larbi, who played Seaweed, said: “It was an incredible experience to work with such a talented cast.”
Tia Foster-Marnu, who played Little Inez, said: “I enjoyed every second of rehearsals and made lots of new friends.
“I’m so pleased that our hard work paid off.”
