The Queen’s Birthday Honours List has been revealed to recognise the achievements of individuals across the country going the extra mile - and west London again has its fair share of recipients.

The list, officially published on on Saturday (June 11), contains the names of those who have contributed to their communities through voluntary work or through their talents and professions on the occasion of Her Majesty’s official 90th birthday.

The Cabinet Office says each recipient "exemplifies the very best of our nation".

Those honoured range from widely loved singer Dame Vera Lynn, who is recommended for the Companion of Honour (CH) at the age of 99, to young apprentices.
