Putney is packed full of pubs making it an ideal spot for a brilliant pub crawl.

We know that - we've drunk in enough of them!

It was tough to narrow it down but we've picked out eight of Putney's top boozers for a tipple.

Stroll down the high street, across the river and sto off at some of west London's best watering holes - it's pretty idyllic.

From traditional taverns to pubs with a modern twist, this epic crawl caters to all drinking tastes.

Journey to the river via Putney's best pubs

Get West London, of course, does not condone excessive drinking - please do drink responsibly and make sure you have a good time.

1. Prince of Wales

138 Upper Richmond Road

Our Putney drinking journey begins opposite Putney East station, the perfect place for a first pint.

The Prince of Wales's dark wood panelling and wall display of tankards give it a cosy and traditional air.

It has a large dining-room and as well as menu packed with pub fair it offers bar snacks and sharing plates ideal for lining the stomach in preparation of pubs to come.

This is where our Putney pub journey begins

2. Lost & Co

160 Putney High Street

The second stop takes us onto Putney High Street's packed strip, where drinking may start to get serious.

While not precisely a pub, Lost & Co is a lively establishment stocking a great selection of craft beers.

Depending on the night, there may even be a live band or DJ present to provide a soundtrack to your pub adventure.

3. Spotted Horse

122 Putney High Street

A Putney pub staple, The Spotted Horse is the lynchpin of any Putney-based crawl.

This 250 year-old pub has traditional painted panelling, pendant lights and a wood-burner.

You can soak in the pub's historic atmosphere while enjoying a selection of draft beers and cask ales.

4. Coat & Badge

8 Lacy Road

This large pub is tucked away behind the hubbub of Putney High Street and offers calming respite from the area's noisier taverns.

Hidden behind laurel bushes it has quirky decor and is the ideal spot to unwind at the midpoint of the crawl.

5. The Dukes Head

8 Lower Richmond Road

This boat-style pub sits right on the river and in summer is the perfect spot to sit outdoors and soak in the views.

At this point in the crawl, you may be feeling peckish, in which case The Dukes Head has a brilliant British seasonal menu.

The Spotted Horse is a Putney pub must

6. The Rocket

Putney Wharf Tower, Brewhouse Lane

A Wetherspoons has to feature in any half decent pub crawl, and The Rocket is Putney's.

A remodelled 1960s riverside office block, the Spoons sits in Putney Wharf and has great views of the river.

7. The Eight Bells

89 Fulham High St

To get to the penultimate pub on our list, you have to cross the river.

If you're still up to it six pubs in then the Eight Bells, right next to Putney Bridge Station is an excellent stop-off.

This cosy 17th century tavern is popular with friendly locals and feels like coming home.

8. The Temperance

The Temperance is the final stop on our Putney crawl

Aptly named for the final point of call, The Temperance is the perfect place to chill, chill, chill.

With a huge seating area, pool tables and wide screen TVss showing live sports, you can kick back and relax because you've made it!

If you get to this point then congratulations on completing Putney's best pub crawl!
