Police were called to Putney Bridge on Sunday afternoon (November 26) after an elderly man fell over.

Officers from Hammersmith and Fulham Police attended the incident shortly before 2pm.

The incident caused some congestion for motorists travelling northbound towardsFulham.

Police were called to the scene at 1.55pm, and said a female passer-by was directing traffic around the man.

Transport for London (TfL) tweeted the road was partially blocked “due to a police incident”.

The London Ambulance Service also attended the incident.

The man fell on Putney Bridge

Officers are believed to have left the scene within an hour.

The condition of the man is not known at this stage.
