Pupils have created their own version of the sea of poppies which drew thousands of visitors to the Tower of London last year.
Youngsters at Heston Primary School made 460 poppies, which they 'planted' in the school's nature area on Thursday, November 12.
Each youngster at the school in Heston Road, Heston , used the modelling clay Fimo to make the petals and black centre of the flower, which were then attached to wooden stakes.
Art teacher Jo Firmin said the project had been inspired by the spectacle at the Tower of London, where the grounds were last year filled with 888,246 ceramic poppies - one for each British or Commonwealth soldier killed during the First World War.
The poppy serves as a symbol of those who lost their lives during the First World War and other conflicts. The flowers are sold by the Royal British Legion each year around Remembrance Day in aid of soldiers, veterans and their families.
Hundreds of people observed the silence at Remembrance Sunday ceremonies across Hounslow this year, and a sea cadet became a Facebook sensation after her mother revealed she had been ridiculed for attending one of the ceremonies.
