Around 150 presents will be donated to disadvantaged children this Christmas, courtesy of pupils at a pre-preparatory school for boys in Chiswick.

Rather than receiving a gift this festive period, boys at The Falcons Pre-Preparatory School are spreading the Christmas magic by putting a gift under their 'Giving Tree' as part of this year's PA Christmas Funday Appeal.

The presents will be donated to the charity KidsOut which provides a range of services to change the lives of thousands of disadvantaged children throughout the UK.

Many of the 35,000 children supported by the charity are fleeing domestic abuse and are offered with a refuge for sanctuary.

Headmaster Andrew Forbes said: "Christmas is an exciting time for all children however, it can be difficult for those escaping domestic violence.

"We are honoured to be supporting this worthy cause and helping to give these children a Christmas to remember.

The tree was decorated with around 150 tags

"It is inspiring to see the boys so enthusiastic and passionate about supporting KidsOut."

The school's Christmas tree has been decorated with around 150 tags, each featuring a name and wish of a child living in a Women’s Aid Federation refuge over the Christmas period.

The boys will pick a tag to take home with them, and taking into consideration the Christmas wish featured in their tag, they will buy a toy with their parents.

The gifts will then be brought into school and distributed to the charity in time for the big day.
