Prom picture special: Abbotsfield and Swakeleys schools celebrate end of Year 11

Year 11 students from Abbotsfield School and Swakeley School celebrated the end of their secondary school experiences with a prom at Brunel University on Friday (July 10).

Pupils put on their finest prom dresses and suits to dance the night away.

Staff and teachers also joined the youngsters to celebrate their hard work and achievements.

Abbotsfield School headteacher Mark Bland said: “Nearly 200 boys and girls went to this year’s prom.

“A great time was had by all with lots of dancing.

“They all had a lovely time and the prom was very well-attended by staff too.

“It was a nice reward for students at the end of a hard year, it marks the importance of finishing Year 11.”
