Prepare for Monday commuter chaos - two west London tube routes closed and Putney Bridge and Hogarth Flyover shut

No service today between Uxbridge and Rusilip on the Metropolitan Line and between Uxbridge and Rayners Lane on the Piccadilly line.

A Metropolitan line train

The service has been halted for planned work on the routes , and will only re-open on August 10.

Also motorists are warned of the continuing congestion in West London due to the closure of Putney Bridge and Hogarth Flyover.

The delays stretch rom Chiswick Bridge to the Hogarth Roundabout because of maintenance work which has closed the Hogarth Flyover A316 northbound

There are also delays on the M25 clockwise between J15 M4 and J16 M40 due to people slowing to look at an accident.
