Terrified commuters caused mayhem in a carriage after a tarantula was set loose on the London Underground as a prank.

The Pranksters, who run the YouTube channel Trollstation , let the giant spider loose on the tube and captured people's reactions.

Horrified Londoners clambered over one another, screamed and pelted in opposite directions of the carriage as the eight-legged creature crawled into view on the packed service.

One man jumped into the air whilst another yelled: "Oh crap!"

An alarmed commuter said, "this is nuts, man" as the spider appeared.

The incident, which the pranksters shot on the Bakerloo line, left those travelling in a state of shock, as seen in the video.

It comes just a few weeks after a Ruislip mum was left crying and in a hysterical state after a seven inch tarantula was found by her drainpipe and had to be whisked away by the RSPCA.

Eventually one of the YouTubers scooped it up into his cap
