Power cut affects houses in Cowley

Scottish and Southern Energy apologised for the loss of power following a fault on the local network

All lights went out in houses and businesses in the Cowley area of Uxbridge on Monday morning (August 10).

A power cut hit the area at around 9am, due to a fault on the power distribution's local network.

Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE), who distribute electricity to Cowley, sent an engineer to the Maygoods Lane Substation to investigate.

The company apologised for the loss of supply.

The power was switched back at around 10.15am.
