An investigation into the death of a man and a woman in their 50s in Fulham continues after post-mortems uncovered more clues as to the events that led to their deaths.

The examinations found the man stabbed himself in the chest and the woman died from multiple stab wounds, Met Police said on Friday (June 24).

A murder investigation was launched on Monday (June 20) morning after the pair were found dead in a property in Fulham Court at around 4.25am.

Both were found suffering stab wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Examinations of both bodies were carried out at Uxbridge Mortuary in Kingston Lane on Tuesday (June 21).

A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: “[A post-mortem] found the cause of death for the female to be multiple stab wounds.

“The cause of death for the man was found to be a self-inflicted stab wound to the chest.”

Police added at next of kin had been informed by formal identification had not yet been carried out.

The investigation is being led by Detective Chief Inspector Mark Lawson, Homicide and Major Crime Command.

Detectives re-asserted that they are not looking for any other suspects.
