Harrow residents who have experienced mental health, addiction or domestic violence issues can attend a mental health and employment event this October.

Project STRIDE, an employment, training and education support service, will offer attendees a ‘positive psychology workshop’ promoting employee well-being, starting at 9.30am, followed by a job fair.

The workshop will share five ways employees can increase wellbeing in the workplace. Residents will then get chance to meet local employers at the job fair and receive help with their CVs.

The event will take place in the Harrow Civic Centre on Tuesday October 11.

Project STRIDE celebrated its one-year anniversary last month and offers residents from Harrow, Ealing and Brent personal coaching and employment support. The service, based in Stonebridge Park, is part of EACH Counselling and Support, a mental health charity.

Ajit Chadha, ETE Coach at EACH Counselling and Support, said: "The job fair will be promoted to our programme participants, clients of other mental health providers in the area and to the general public as well."
