A man was talked down from a bridge over a busy road in Hayes by police.

Officers were called to the A312 The Parkway on Wednesday (July 6) at around 7.20pm to reports of a man on a ledge over the roundabout.

Police closed the road in both directions at Ossie Garvin roundabout, at the junction with Uxbridge Road, as they dealt with the incident.

A spokesman for the Met said the man was brought down and the incident was handed over to London Ambulance Service . He is not believed to have been injured.

The man was brought down from the bridge at around 9.15pm, and the road reopened about 15 minutes later.

On Thursday (July 7) two men were rushed to hospital following an assault and a collision in Harlesden , which led to Harrow Road being closed for several hours.
