Footage shows police surrounding Ealing Broadway station in dramatic incident with knife-wielding man

Police have arrested a man in a dramatic swoop at Ealing Broadway which saw swarms of policemen descend into the area.

Footage sent to getwestlondon shows the moment the man is arrested by Metropolitan police officers at around 8pm in Ealing Broadway station on Wednesday (January 8) evening.

A spokesman for the force said: "We were called just after 8pm to Ealing Broadway station due to concerns for a man in possession of a knife.

"He was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and taken to a west London police station."

Gemma Pollard, who photographed the number of vans and officers who made their way to the scene, told getwestlondon she saw "seven police cars outside Natwest".
