More than seven crimes a day took place in a month in one of Ealing 's neighbourhoods, latest police statistics show.

There were 218 crimes reported in the East Acton neighbourhood alone, in one month.

The latest statistics, for the month of April 2017, highlighted the most common types of crime in the area and danger hotspots for incidences.

Anti-social behaviour is a problem in East Acton

Antisocial behaviour was the most commonly occurring crime, with 46 incidences.

And vehicle crime was high too, with 36 incidences in the same month.

But worryingly, violence and sexual offences followed closely behind, with 45 crimes in one month alone - that's more than one a day.

A neighbourhood crime map revealed hotspots in East Acton as Johnsons Way, where 16 crimes were reported in April 2017.

And "on or near the concert hall", 10 crimes were reported on Victoria Road, near surrounding University of the Arts buildings.

Each week in East Acton, there were two-three stop and searches throughout the neighbourhood - a total of 10 for the whole month.
