Two weeks on from the murder of a Hillingdon mother, police are returning to Uxbridge for a renewed witness appeal.

Officers from the Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command will be in Collingwood Road on Friday to conduct house-to-house enquiries and distribute appeal leaflets.

It comes two weeks after mother-of-two Emily Munemo, 42, was found at a house suffering from stab wounds. She later died and police launched a murder investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Piscopo said: "We are returning to the location in the hope that we are able to speak to further witnesses, who may be able to assist the ongoing investigation into Emily’s murder.

"I am particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious from 1 Collingwood Road on Friday January 30, between 7.30am and 11.10am.

"Did you hear or see anything which may be of interest to the police? Did you see Emily? Or anyone entering or leaving the property? If so, please contact the police where you will be treated with the utmost sensitivity.”

A post-mortem found Ms Munemo's cause of death to be a stab wound to the chest.

A man was arrested on suspicion of murder and bailed until mid-March.

A second man, 41-year-old Shonhiwa Gibson Mazikana, of Reid Close, Hayes, was later arrested and charged with murder.

Anyone with information is asked to call the incident room on 020 8345 3775 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
