Police have named the woman whose burnt remains were discovered the back garden of a residential road.

She has been formally identified as 21-year-old Sophie Lionnet, 21, who is originally from Troyes in France but later lived in Wandsworth

A man and woman have already been charge with her murder.

Police made the grisly discovery in Wimbledon Park Road on the evening of September 20 following reports of a fire and person deceased.

At the time, police said the remains had been too badly damaged to establish the gender and age of the victim.

Ouissem Medouni, 40 and Sabrina Kouider, both of Pulborough Road, Putney, have been charged with her Ms Lionnet’s murder.

Police and firefighters were called to Wimbledon Park Road in Putney

They appeared in custody at the Old Bailey on September 26 and will next appear at the same court on December 12.

A trial date has been set for March 19, 2018.
