Police have named the 96-year-old woman who was hit and killed by a lorry in Marylebone at the end of April.

Herta Groves died on April 27 when she was struck by a lorry in Wigmore Street at the junction of Wellbeck Street , at 2.20pm.

Emergency crews attended and found the pensioner with serious injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 3.30pm.

A post mortem took place on May 4 at Westminster Mortuary and the her next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene. There have been no arrests.
