Police believe they have identified three men wanted in connection with alleged racism by Chelsea fans on the Paris Metro.

Detectives had released CCTV stills of three men believed to have been involved in the incident last Tuesday, February 17, in which supporters appeared to stop a black man getting on a train before shouting abusive chants.

Police said today, Sunday, February 22, they are now satisfied they know the identity of all three men and thanked the public for their help with the appeal.

Chelsea FC has suspended five fans from Stamford Bridge over the incident, which is being investigated by police in France.

British Transport Police is investigating separate reports of racist chants at St Pancras station in London by Chelsea fans returning from Paris last Wednesday, February 18.
