A woman was injured after she was pushed to the ground and had her mobile phone stolen in Earl’s Court .

The incident happened on Barkston Gardens on November 21, and police say it could have been worse had passers-by not intervened.

It happened at around 6.20pm when the victim, in her mid-20s, was approached from behind by two female suspects who pushed her to the ground.

She was then assaulted and her mobile phone taken off her. The suspects then attempted rip the victim’s bag away, but she held on before a number of people came to her aid and the suspects fled.

She sustained minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.
