Police want to speak to a Paddington man following the discovery of a woman’s body in Brent.

The body of 44-year-old Usha Patel was discovered at her home address on Melrose Avenue on Thursday (October 8), after police were called to reports of a deceased woman at the address shortly after 8am.

Officers now want to speak to 34-year-old Miles Donnelly, who is also known as Miles Ryan, in connection with the death.

He is described as a white man, who is about 5ft 11ins tall and his last known address was in Paddington, but he is believed to have links to several London boroughs.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson, said: “At this stage in the investigation we believe Ms Patel and Donnelly had been in contact with each other online and arranged to meet.

“We are asking anyone who may have seen him not to approach him but to call 999 instead.”

A murder investigation is underway, and is being led by Detective Chief Inspector Matt Bonner of the Homicide and Major Crime Command.

A post-mortem examination to establish the cause of death will take place today, Friday, 9 October, at Northwick Park Mortuary. We cannot speculate on the cause of death until the post-mortem has concluded.

DCI Matt Bonner, said: "Enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances of Usha's death and as part of these enquiries I am very keen to speak to Miles Donnelly, aka Miles Ryan, as he may have information which could assist me.

"I would appeal directly to him to contact the police so that we can speak to him.

"It is possible that he will look to friends and associates for support, and I urge them not to get involved but to contact us instead.

"I would like to reassure anyone who is worried about contacting the police that they will be treated with the utmost sensitivity."
