Detectives are hunting a robber who held cashiers at knifepoint in two premises in the same Hounslow street in the space of four days.

The man struck first at a bank in London Road, Isleworth , on Saturday May 21 at 10.20am, say police .

He asked for cash but left empty-handed when the cashier refused.

Three days later, on Tuesday May 24 at 1pm, officers say he entered a bookmakers in the same street.

This time he brandished a knife as he demanded cash from terrified staff, who handed over £380.

Detectives have released images of a man they wish to speak to inc connection with the shocking raids.

The Met's Flying Squad has appealed for the public's help to identify the man, who is wanted for questioning.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Alan Mears said: "In his attempts to steal from businesses in Isleworth, this man is threatening violence.

"I urge anyone who knows his identity to contact us immediately."
