Drug raids carried out by West Drayton police uncovered an unusual weapon.

Raids at two addresses were carried out on Tuesday October 3 by officers and two men were arrested, one of whom was already wanted by police for criminal damage.

The raid uncovered an usual weapon, a thick wooden rod with screws sticking out at the end.

The makeshift weapon was recovered just a week after a Freddie Krueger-style glove with knives attached at the fingertips was found in a knife bin in Uxbridge .

The potentially lethal glove, likely to have been inspired by horror movie Nightmare on Elm Street, was dumped anonymously into the knife bin at the police station in Warwick Place.

Warrants for the drugs raids were obtained from Uxbridge Magistrates Court, which ruled on Friday (October 6) that both properties should be closed for three months.
