Nearly 500 cannabis plants have been discovered in a house in Notting Hill.

A Met taskforce set up to tackle gang crime found the thicket with local officers in an early morning raid on Tuesday (September 26).

Two men inside the property have been arrested and police say the plants will now be destroyed.

Images of the find were posted on the Kensington and Chelsea borough police force’s Twitter page.

In a series of messages, a neighbourhood police team (NPT) officer was praised for their work.

It read: “1/3 Early morning raids were carried out in the #nottinghill area on Tuesday after some good investigation by a #nottinghillnpt officer

The plants will now be destroyed

“2/3 assisted by #GangsTaskforce officers a cannabis farm was discovered. 2 males in the property were arrested.

“3/3 nearly 500 plants were seized and will be destroyed. A great result.”
