Drug warrants were issues in two West Ealing properties following complaints from members of the public.

On Tuesday (September 5), warrants were obtained for homes in Northfield Avenue and Westfield Road after members of the public complained about alleged drug dealing and drug usage within them.

Police Constable Vik Jhurree, of Met Police's Safer Neighbourhood Team, said they had received a number of complaints from local residents about the properties.

“As a result of numerous complaints and local intelligence provided by members of the public of drug dealing and drug taking in the area, Local Police carried out in depth research in order to combat the local issues addressed," he said.

Met Police officers worked alongside Ealing Council to execute the warrants

“It was apparent that the above described was having a detrimental effect towards the quality of life to members of the public and the area.

“As such two warrants were obtained for two addresses, which were subsequently executed on the Tuesday 5th September 2017.

“Should any members of the public wish to report matters to Police, please do so via the 101 contact number or contacting either Walpole or Elthorne Safer Neighbourhood Team.”

Police officers from Elthorne worked alongside Ealing Council to carry out the search warrants.

A spokesman for MPS Elthorne said on Twitter: "Execution of 2 successful drugs warrants in the West Ealing area."

  • Following the search of the second property, a man was arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, possession of class B drugs and possession of criminal property.
