A man has been charged with the murder of a pensioner in Harrow.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command charged Mohsin Manji, 44, of Kingshill Drive, Harrow, with the murder of 81-year-old Amirali Manji, on Wednesday (January 13).

He has been remanded in custody and is to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday (January 29), said the Metropolitan Police.

Mr Manji died in hospital on Thursday (December 3), with the cause of death given as head injuries.

The defendant had previously been charged on November 30 with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and appeared at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on the same day.

He was subsequently remanded in custody.
