Police have charged a man with the murder of a 41-year-old man who was stabbed to death in Kingsbury on Sunday (August 7).

Darryn Madigan, of Doreen Avenue, was charged on Monday (August 8) and the 38-year-old will appear at Hendon Magistrates' Court later today.

Met police launched a murder investigation on Sunday (August 7) after the victim was stabbed to death.

Emergency services were called to Doreen Avenue at 2.51am following reports of an assault.

They found a 41-year-old man with stab wounds who was pronounced dead at the scene shortly aftetrwards.

His next of kin have been informed but police said officers were awaiting formal identification.

Mr Madigan was arrested on Sunday (August 7) on suspicion of murder and was taken to a north London police station.

It was the fourth fatal stabbing on west London's streets in the space of a week, following incidents in Southall, Kilburn and Russell Square.
