Police are appealing for information following a stabbing in Hammersmith on Saturday (July 18).

The attack led to a collision between a double-decker bus and police car which was responding to the emergency call about the crime.

Officers have revealed the victim, who was injured outside the Hammersmith Broadway shopping centre at 5.45pm, was a 22-year-old man.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a central London hospital, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests have yet been made and detectives from Hammersmith & Fulham are investigating.

Transport for London (TfL) told getwestlondon that it had launched a full investigation into the collision, between the 220 bus and police car.

The driver was taken to hospital but has now been released. Two police officers injured in the car were also taken to hospital for treatment.
