CCTV image of a man police wish to speak to about the assault

Detectives investigating the sexual assault of a woman in Brent Cross have released CCTV of a man they wish to speak to.

At approximately 10pm on Saturday October 3, a man approached the victim from behind as she walked home along Hamilton Road, Brent Cross.

As the man grabbed her, she screamed alerting passers by. The suspect then walked quickly away.

The suspect is described as a white man of stocky built, aged in his mid 20s with a lightly tanned complexion. He is 5ft 8inches tall with short brown hair and large eyes. He was seen wearing a baseball cap, a gilet, jeans and trainers.

CCTV from a nearby shop captures the man following the victim as she walked home with shopping bags.

Police are appealing to hear from anyone who recognises the man captured in the CCTV footage.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting image reference 197440, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
