An appeal has been launched to find a missing boy who has disappeared from Hounslow .

Officers in Hounslow are seeking the public's help in finding 12-year-old George Whelan who has not been seen since Tuesday (January 10) afternoon.

A police spokesman told getwestlondon he was last seen between around 3pm.

"He got up to go to school and this was the last time his mum saw him," the spokesman said.

"He was last seen on January 10 sometime between 2pm to 3pm."

Hounslow MPS sent a message on Twitter just before 11am on Wednesday (January 11).

The message on Twitter read: "George WHELAN aged 12yrs is #missing from #Hounslow area.

"If you can help to find him, please call 101 quote ref 17MIS001543. Thank you."
