Detectives investigating the burglary of Simon Cowell's home in Holland Park have released CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

At approximately 1.20am on Friday December 4, police were called to a burglary in progress at the address in Kensington.

Cowell's girlfriend and young son, Eric, were in the house at the time of the burglary. A security guard patrolling the area had challenged the suspect causing him to flee.

The man in the footage is described as slim, approximately 5ft 10ins tall wearing a dark jacket, dark trousers a red woolly hat.

A 37-year-old man has already been arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed to a date in early January pending further enquiries.

Detective Chief Inspector Will Young, Kensington and Chelsea said: "This is an ongoing investigation involving a number of lines of enquiry and we are actively following all leads in an effort to identify the suspect concerned. A man has already been arrested in connection with this incident and is currently on police bail.

"The occupants were unharmed during the incident but understandably are shaken by what happened and are keen to recover all of the items that were stolen which are of sentimental value."
