Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault that took place in Kilburn on Saturday (August 8).

According to a Met Police spokesman, a 20-year-old man was walking along Dyne Road at around 4am when he was approached by an unknown man and punched in the face several times.

The injured man then made his way home and was taken to hospital by his family where he received treatment for a broken jaw.

The suspect has been described by police as a black man, aged in his early 20s, with big teeth, short black hair and a goatee beard. He was wearing a black hoodie.

Police have confirmed that no arrests have been made and enquires are still ongoing.
