Girls from Pinner high school go for gold with their 'excellent' A level results.

Heathfield Girls School in Pinner are very 'happy' to have achieved top marks in their latest A level exams, with 22 per cent of the year gaining A* or A grades.

All of the year 13 pupils achieved an A* to D grade with 20 per cent claiming A* grades.

Head girl Rosemary Parnham, achieved two A* grades and one A, she will go on to study English Literature at Warwick University.

She said: "I am very relieved and extremely happy. I have to thank all the teachers and staff at Heathfield for contributing to my achievements; I couldn’t have done it without them!"

Other outstanding achievers included, Maryam Bennani who gained two A* grades and one A, Varthani Kirupanandan gained two A*s and one A and will study medicine at the University of Glasgow.

Prianka Chotai got three A* grades and one A* EPQ (Extended Project Qualification).

Headteacher, Anne Stevens said: "I am thrilled with these outstanding results and congratulate our girls on their hard work and dedication and the teachers for their excellent teaching, support and guidance."
