An amazing video clip has hit the web of a plane descending through the clouds on its landing descent to Heathrow Airport .

Uploaded to Twitter , the dramatic footage from @theplayer_pilot was captured on the pilot's iPhone from the flight deck of the plane as it was coming in to land on runway 27R on Thursday (February 11).

The pilot who captured the footage, who prefers to be named as JB, is said to have been flying professionally for more than 20 years, and flies in and out of Heathrow Airport around four or five times a month.

Speaking to getwestlondon , JB said: “Heathrow is a very busy airport but is straightforward enough, there are no mountains or anything too tricky but we are always prepared for anything!

“Flying is amazing, I feel privileged to be a pilot and see the things I do, as pilots we have views of the world only really we get to see.

“We get to see sunrises and sunsets all over the world and on some night flights at Heathrow it doesn't even get dark!”

The footage has since been retweeted over 200 times and has seen massive attention from those living in the capital.
