The home where Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe grew up in and learned he had landed the role as the celebrated magician in the movie franchise is up for sale.

The property in Sherbrooke Road, Fulham , is a million miles away from Privet Drive, where the Harry Potter lived with his cousin Dudley Dursley and Uncle Vernon and Auntie Petunia, and is on the market for £1.45 million.

It is being sold by estate agents Chestertons and is a four-bedroom house that was renovated four or five years ago.

It believed the young actor was enjoying a bath in the property when he learned he had landed the prize role in the film adaptations of JK Rowling’s hit books .

Selling agent James Turner hopes the link to Harry Potter will work its magic with potential buyers.

He said: “It’s likely the connection to the perennially popular boy wizard could see interest in the property really take off.”

The white-washed terrace has a fully-extended kitchen, converted loft and a ‘pod’ rear addition, thought to have been added after Daniel and his family moved out of the house.
