Six people have been confirmed dead in a large blaze which ripped through Grenfell Tower in west London on Wednesday (June 14).

More than 50 people were taken to hospital and a number of people were trapped in the building as emergency services attended the scene shortly after 1am.

Grenfell Tower had only recently undergone a £10million renovation in May 2016 , when it had new cladding installed on the side of the building.
