This is the aftermath of an incident where a car crashed into a lamppost in Hayes.

The Metropolitan Police was called to the scene around 10.45pm on Tuesday September 5.

Remarkably nobody was injured in the one-vehicle crash which involved a Ford Focus on the North Hyde Road junction with Dawley Road near the Hyde Park Hayes business park.

The silver hatchback was taken to the scrap yard due to the severe damage to the front end of the car.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested under suspicion of drinking while under the influence of alcohol.
