A fire alert at Holborn station was led to no service on the Central line between Liverpool Street and Marble Arch.
A signal failure at Acton Town is causing havoc on the Piccadilly line .
Transport for London has announced there is no service between Hammersmith and Uxbridge/Heathrow and no service between Cockfosters and Hammersmith westbound.
The Central line is also experiencing severe delays between Northolt and West Ruislip.

An update from the TfL website shows there are now minor delays on the Piccadilly Line between Acton Town and Uxbridge / all Heathrow Terminals due to an earlier signal failure at Acton Town.
A good service is operating on the rest of the line.
Piccadilly line update
The signal failure issue affecting tubes running on the Piccadilly line has now been resolved.
However there are still minor delays according to the TfL website.
Severe delays on Central line
The Transport for London website still shows there are still severe delays operating on the Central line following the earlier fire alert at Holborn Station.
Tickets are being accepted on London Buses via any reasonable route and on Chiltern Railways between West Ruislip and Marylebone.
London Underground statement
Nigel Holness, London Underground’s director of network operations said:
At around 9.10am our staff were alerted to reports of smoke under a Central line train at Holborn.
Our staff immediately contacted the emergency services, who attended and investigated the incident.
The cause of the smoke was a fault on one of our trains and it has now been taken out of service.
I apologise for the concern this would have caused our customers at Holborn this morning and for the disruption.
The station reopened at around 10.05am and trains have been stopping there since.

An update on the Transport for London website show there are still severe delays between Acton Town and Uxbridge/Heathrow due to the earlier signal failure at Acton Town.

Similar incident
The incident comes days after video captured smoke inside a carriage again on the Central line at Oxford Circus.
On Friday August 11, the station was also evacuated, with London Fire Brigade confirming there was a “small fire”.
Witness reaction
According to PA, Sophie Walker posted earlier during the incident: “Holborn station evacuated, there’s smoke and people are crying and freaking out ...”
Severe delays remain
Severe delays remain remain on both the Central line and the Piccadilly line.
On the Piccadilly line, the delay is still down to the earlier signal failure at Acton Town.
Tickets will be accepted on London Buses, Transport for London said.
Flash, bang, smoke
Commuter Andy Routledge wrote on Twitter:
I witnessed a flash, followed by a small bang and smoke arising from the tube carriage I’d just left at Holborn station.”
Holburn witnesses speak
Back to Sarah Marshall, who took videos of the smoke filling up the platform at Holburn. Writing on Twitter, she said:
Loud bang at Holborn, smoke and then an evacuation.
“Lots of people ran but others encouraged people to walk and situation was calm. I was towards back of crowd.
“There was smoke at one end of the station, a high pitched bang and a smell.”
Train fault
The incident at Holburn station has been caused by a suspected train fault, British Transport Police has said.
Its statement read:
We were called to Holborn underground station at 9.08am following reports of smoke on a platform.
“This is now believed to have been caused by a train fault.
“The station was closed and officers attended along with the fire service.
“We are now working to enable the station to be reopened as quickly as possible.”

TfL statement
Transports for London told getwestlondon that there was a fire alert on a westbound Central line train, and the station was closed.
The eastbound line continued to run without stopping, as did the Piccadilly line.
Its team is investigating.
District line 'good service'
Issues on the District line have been resumed, with a ‘good service’ now running, according to TfL.
Major delays on Central
The situation at Holburn is having a knock-on affect on other parts of the Central line, with Transport for London saying:
No service between Liverpool Street and White City westbound only, while we respond to a fire alert at Holborn.”
There are severe delays on the rest of the line.
